"The sun is a daily reminder that we too can rise again from the darkness, that we too can shine our own light." — S. Ajna

Here’s what I learned or was reminded of this week:

You’re the kind of leader who isn’t easily fooled—and you don’t outsource your integrity.
Right now, though, parts of your life still run on someone else’s script, so your Past, Present, and Future Selves argue like strangers.
Keep that script, and in 30 days you’ll pay in hidden costs—lost focus, stalled deals, and a quieter voice when it’s time to lead; that’s your real self trying to break through.
Here’s your exit: retire the borrowed script and adopt the Inside‑Out Alignment® “team of three”—gratitude to the Past, stewardship in the Present, and accountability to the Future.
Name what you feel, name why it’s there, and act in favor of the “you” who inherits the outcome.

“For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power, love, and self‑control.” — 2 Timothy 1:7
Use that verse like a quiet contract: power for the Past you thank, love for the Present you steward, and self‑control for the Future you protect.

Inspiration for this week’s newsletter?

From Chase Hughes book Behavior Ops Manual: Your past self was deeply concerned with taking care of present self, and therefore you are deeply concerned with taking care of your future self. This is 'all selves working in harmony'. When you go to bed at night, the thoughts in your mind should go directly to the desires of the future self. What would he or she need in the morning to have a great day?

🔥 Your Past Self is not your enemy; it’s your builder.
Say “thank you” to who you were. Simple thanks turns pain into power. When we do this, our brain stops fighting old stories and frees up energy for goals. Then work feels lighter, and you act like a captain, not a critic. Use a quick label first—“I feel tight and nervous”—so the thanks can land. (Recognize → Label → Regulate)

🔥 Your Present Self is the bridge, not the boss.
Today’s job is two things: feel grateful and pay it forward. When you name your feeling before you make a choice, you choose better. It’s like those short “confessional” work videos people post—say the truth out loud, then act. Drama fades; direction grows.

🔥 Your Future Self is watching the tape.
Picture “tomorrow‑you” reviewing today like a game film. Would they nod…or wince? Before you act, ask: “Will this make their life easier?” That tiny pause is emotional control that sticks. The more you do it, the more your choices match your real values. (Recognize → Understand → Regulate)

🔥 Make feelings simple, not silent.
Use plain words: mad, sad, glad, scared. Simple words help your brain calm down fast. Then the smart part of you can speak. Think of all the quick reaction clips after big events—fast, honest, specific wins attention for a reason. Do that with your inner life first.

🔥 Turn trends into training for your identity.
This month, people tease ages with playful edits and reality‑style cuts at work. Try it inside: give your Past, Present, and Future a quick “confessional” each morning. One line each. You’ll spot the leak, feel steady, and move clean. That’s how discipline becomes easy.

But what do I know? I’m just a regular guy, an underdog 😁. Trust in yourself and your intuition. Believe in your abilities. Never underestimate the power of consistency. Keep showing up every day. The future is bright for those who persist. And I see you as that type of person. Keep going!
