"The sun is a daily reminder that we too can rise again from the darkness, that we too can shine our own light." — S. Ajna

Here’s what I learned or was reminded of this week:

Bad things happen. Most people get tight and judge. I teach a tiny habit instead: pause, breathe, and say “huh?”.

That one word turns pain into a clue your Future You can use.

Be still, and know…” (Psalm 46:10). In today’s world, “still” means steady, not slow—so you can see what’s true and act with purpose.

Inspiration for this week’s newsletter? The essence of awareness skills is learning to see things as they are – that is, nonjudgmentally.

🔥 Make “Huh?” your pattern break
When a problem pops up, do this three-step reset: Stop. Whisper “huh?” to loosen the grip of the inner critic. Then ask, “What is this teaching me?” and “What is one small next step?” This keeps you in awareness, not judgment, so learning starts right away. To anchor it, pair your “huh?” with a quick smile or shoulder drop—like that viral clips vibe where people turn chaos into a wink and move on. It’s simple, playful, and it works because it cuts the drama loop and returns you to choice.

🔥 Coach Voice > Critic Voice (use a 5-slide share)
Your critic barks; your coach asks clean questions: “What happened? What matters now? What one thing can I do in 5 minutes?” Turn this into a short carousel (“Critic vs. Coach”) so your team can swipe the steps and use them. Carousels and quick visuals hold attention longer and help people save the lesson for later. Keep it kind. Keep it tiny. Keep it repeatable.

🔥 State before strategy (1-minute reset)
Before you fix the mess, fix your state. Try this: sip water → 6 calm breaths → soften your eyes → name the next small win. In fast-moving feeds and workplaces, people care more about the vibe you bring than a perfect plan. When you lead with a steady state, your strategy lands. This shift from chasing every trend to owning a clear mood is winning right now—and it makes your Future You proud.

🔥 Show your work (and the mess) like a pro
Turn a stumble into a “before → lesson → after” photo set or quick video. Share what broke, what you saw, and what you changed. Behind‑the‑scenes, photo dumps, and short videos drive stronger engagement because they feel real and teach fast. People don’t want polish; they want proof. Your honest learnings become playbooks others can use.

🔥 Pray, then play the next right move
Say a short prayer: “God, give me wisdom for one good step.” (James 1:5). Then take that step. In a season of burnout and “fake busy,” doing less, better is a power play. Focus your energy on one meaningful output, not more motion. That quiet, steady way of working is how you protect your heart, your team, and your results.

Why this works (Future Self lens):

  • Awareness sees. Judgment shouts. When you remove judgment, your brain stays open and learns fast.

  • Identity drives action. Speak and act as the person you’re becoming; your habits follow.

  • Purpose beats panic. A clear “one next step” keeps you moving with calm power.
